Bruce McLaren first through the "esses" at Riverside 1965 Los Angeles Times Grand Prix. He had pole position and a clear shot through the first few laps. Finished 3rd behind Hap Sharp and Jim Clark. All of them finished in 77th lap and it was close. Clark was 11 seconds behind Sharp. This was the first race at which McLaren drove a car with his name on it at Riverside -- the McLaren Elva Mark II Oldsmobile.Photographer is Ron Sterling (me) Photo used Kodak Trix-X film and the negative was scanned and digitized when digital scanners got good enough. Epson Perfection 750.
