Spectacular, lifelike carved wood gaunt fisherman handmade by an expert Balinese wood carving artist from the village of Mas in Bali. (THIS IS VERY TALL unlike short statues you often find on .)
The expert carving highlights the thin fisherman\'s features as he holds a net. It is truly a remarkable work of art that would be perfect in a beach house.
The net is also carved wood and there is some breakage that could be repaired.
The real star of this status is the fisherman\'s intent face and carefully carved hat.
While a talented Balinese wood artist carved this male statue in Indonesia, it was purchased in Hong Kong in the 1970s by my family.
