Aqua Trademark Lighting Quart Canning Jar with wire bail and lid. Front of jar is embossed Trademark with a slight arch above Lightning. This form of marking appeared on Lightning jars produced ca. 1882 - 1896. Bottom is marked Putnam 800, the 800 is a mold number. Measures Height without lid 7 1/2\", Base 3 1/2\". There is a small chip on the bottom of the lid as shown at the top of the 8th picture. The Lid bears faint marking of Lightning Pat\'d Apr 25 82, last picture is top of lid. \"Putnam\" jars were made by at least 11 glass companies, some being made into the early 1900s.\" Please review pictures as they are part of the description and show all sides and overall condition.
