Real Apache Tears only come from the Imerys Perlite Quarry in Superior, Arizona. That is the only location where obsidian nodules are found in a naturally rounded shape and have a smoky translucent color. All the other obsidian nodules that are not rounded and have a gray translucent color that other sellers are selling as Apache Tear are not the authentic Apache Tears.

I have a friend in Arizona who is a member of the only rock and mineral club that has been granted permission by the mine to go in a few times a year to collect the tears. He tumbler polishes them to perfection and sends them to me several times a year.
