A superb, large antique handmade Belgian Brussels Point de Gaze lace dress front or applique in white...
Intricately detailed, this beautiful dress front applique is also useful for doll costuming, embellishing pillows, etc. It features an elaborate floral-geometric motif showcasing large flowers, scrolls with prominent buttonhole stitching, & vines with greenery along silk net ground, and is finished off with a meandering scalloped edge all around.
Generously proportioned, measures overall ~7 inches long, ~4&1/4 inches wide, and finished all around.
Appears unused. In overall very good condition with a few tiny scraggly threads, and a few tiny breaks which can be addressed. Though none are noted, there may be a rare tiny light spot. Please enlarge photos for details.
