This is a wonderful Capodimonte porcelain hunchback dwarf band musician figurine from Italy. He is wearing a red jacket, black shoes, and resting on a tree stump while playing a bladder bagpipe. Marked on the base is the "N"

makers mark for Capidimonte, believed to be from the late 1700s to the early 1800s.

Measuring approximately 1.5" in diameter at the base and 3.25" high, he is in excellent condition

with no noted problems and very bright

colors.

This is an interesting and rare porcelain dwarf figurine in the style of the Derby mansion dwarfs.

These figurines were inspired by the engravings of Jacque Callot, who lived from 1592-1635. They are called the Mansion House dwarfs which were modeled after the dwarfs employed at the Mansion House in the city of London. They carried advertising.
