Very Cool Antique Large Photograph of the USS IllinoisRowing Team!
These handsome and fit young men pose in their race boat along with their coach/officer at the rudder
Most of the young men are wearingtank-tops with the Apprentice Knot insignia
The back of the card is marked is original period writing \" Property of G.W. Epperson - U.S.S. Ill.\"
It is also marked \"Race Boat: - \"U.S.S. Illinois\" and \"Photograph taken by Enrique Muller\"
G.W. Epperson was one of the young sailors part of the team, as identified by other related photographs we have found
Measures approx. 9-1/4\" x 7-1/4\"

Condition:

The photograph and card that is mounted to show heavy wear along the edges from age/storage. The top corners have been trimmed. There is visible moisture/water damage along the edges - and some moderate discoloration across the image. There are 4 punctures on the corners, presumably from a previous mounting. Cool piece of Naval History!
