Item for sale is an antique photograph of an Australian sawmill in Wagerup (Waigerup (sic)), Western Australia, most likely around the turn of the century. This specific print was part of a collection put together by the Philadelphia Commercial Museum (1840 - 1954) as part of a exhibit that was sent out to schools in the early part of the 20th century. There were multiples of these exhibits, and thus, this print most likely has duplicates created during this period. I found the image on Getty Images available for licensing and they note that the photograph is from 1895, possibly by a photographer named Stringer.
The reverse side of the photo has a detailed description of how sawmills operate and migrate.
The photograph is in overall good, though faded, condition. Mounting board shows sign of wear at corners and stains on reverse. See all images for complete description.
