Gorgeous antique Nippon/Japan Chocolate/Coffee Pot Gilt Scrolls Handpainted - 9”H

Stunning antique Nippon/Japan chocolate/coffee pot circa late 19th century. Made of thin porcelain, this timeless beauty features similar to satsuma style, overglaze decorations, lace like scrolls on blue and white enameled sections. It is a wonderful example of Japanese porcelain of the era.

Condition:

Sold as is due to repair near the spout (on the interior). Typical scratches and use related marks corresponding with age. Wear to gilt overall (but not extensive). Some wear to hand painted details. The wear is expected considering the age of this wonderful piece. Wear on the rims, handle and the underside. Marked with Japanese symbols but I wasn’t able to identify the writing.
