This copper canteen is a nice size and is lovely with an Iron Cross on each side and laurels surrounding the Iron cross on each side. You can see that this piece was handmade including the decorations. My best guess on the age is about 1870 - 1871 from around the time of the Franco-Prussian War. The shape is round with strap rings that are nice and hefty. The actual strap seems to have been replaced with a new deerskin strap. This flask is in very nice condition with no issues to note.Measures approximately: 11" high a 4 1/2" deep x 9 1/2" diameter.
