What a fantastic vintage compact!
This one features the Djer-Kiss brand of rouge and face powder in it, and the Djer-Kiss name is found on two places on the compact: along the front edge just above the button release, and inside on the snap-off cover where the face powder is kept.
The cover of this compact features two deco-style faeries surrounded by a circle of rays, as they fly among the garden flowers. The backside of the compact has the same peripheral band of rays, the central area is filled with a tiny nailhead type embossed design.
The compact is complete, there is still a fair amount of rouge in the rouge container, the face powder is long gone. There is still an original \"puff\" are inside, it is the rouge puff. It has the Djer-Kiss name on it, so you know it is the right piece for this compact. The mirror is a double mirror, one side shows a normal view, the other is reverse-magnified, perfect for those minor touchups. Both mirrors are in excellent, highly usable condition.
The exterior metal is silver, but I don\'t know if it is sterling, silverplate, or perhaps German silver. The case\'s condition is very nice, with some tarnish, and a bit of wear along some of the edges, but no pitting, dents, etc. I polished it a bit, but the winning buyer may wish to finish the job.
I have rarely seen this compact in such clean condition, and with an original signed puff and rouge this is a collector\'s dream. Don\'t miss your chance to acquire a darling treasure from the past that you can use and admire today!
