This antique European/Japan Owari mantle clock is a rare find for clock collectors. It boasts a unique and captivating design featuring an animated gypsy fortune teller with moving eyes.Her eyes move from left to right and back again with the tick tock of the hair spring balance. The eyes are nicely done and it looks like perhaps some type of pearl material that was painted. The clock is made of high-quality wood and brass trim with a brown color finish. This mechanical clock operates on a spring power source and has a chime sequence of hour and half-hour bell strikes. It stands at a height of 21" and has a width of 10.5" It was manufactured between 1850-1899 in Japan. Despite its age, this mantle clock is still in good working condition and would make a great addition to any clock collection.
