- This elegant, oversize booklet measures 17\" x 12\" and has 12 pages,including a gatefoldmenu of courses, all prepared under the direction of MaitreChef desCuisinies Silvino S. Trompetto.
- The dinner was served in the Savoy\'s Lancaster banquetroom overlooking the Thames and included foods flown in from 22American states, washed down by 13 of America\'s finest wines.
- The dinner was hosted by a group of American stockbrokersfor some 500 or so European financiers as part of an effort to inducethem to invest in U.S. stocks and bonds.
- Among the hosts were Bear, Stearns; Dean, Witter;Goldman, Sachs; Kidder, Peabody; Salomon Brothers; First Boston Corporation; and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner& Smith. Dinner speakers included Sam Aaron, Hugh Johnson, andGeorge E. Lang.
