Here\'s the Rare and Beautiful 1967 Krewe of Elks-Orleanians \"Old Absinthe House\" Proposed Reverse Design Artist\'s Negative Proof by H. Alvin Sharpe.The Artist\'s Proofsmeasures 12\" in width and 12\" in height, is much nicer than it appears in the photos and is inExcellentCondition.Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.Note: This is the Original Proposed Reverse Design Artist\'s Negative Proof of the 1967 Krewe of Elks-Orleanians Reverse Design Created by H. Alvin Sharpe, the Creator of the Mardi Gras Doubloon. This design was to appear on the Reverse of the 1967 Doubloons made by Mr. Sharpe for the Krewe of Elks-Orleanians, and thoughthis Proof appears to be complete, and contains Mr. Sharpe\'s \"HAS\" initials, this was not the actual reverse design used on those 1967 Doubloons. This Proof reads \"OLD ABSINTHE HOUSE...240 RUE BOURBON...NEW ORLEANS,\" however the actual 1967 Doubloon\'s Reverse reads \"HISTORIC VIEUX CARRE...MARDI 1967 GRAS.\" So we know this proposed design was revised probably at the recommendation of Members of the Krewe of Elks-Orleanians. Mr. Sharpe kept many of the Artist Proofs he made over the years and gave a number of them to his last secretary. She ultimately sold them to a coin dealer in New Orleans from whom I acquired them a few years ago. I have far too many to keep, though I love them all, and now want to share them with other H. Alvin Sharpe Fans, Enthusiasts and Collectors, as well. Great Pieces for Matting and Framing and aGreat Piece of H.
