Selling my rare original Marilyn Monroe photograph. I’m not sure who took this photo. I thought possibly taken by photographer Weegee in 1949 at Jones Beach swimming pool in New York but a nice er reached out to me to say this was not taken by Weegee so I’m unsure. Here she is looking stunning on a diving board in her gorgeous Pink bathing suit with extraordinary detail showing her cute anklet she wore in a lot of photos taken by Earl Moran and taken in 1949 at Tobay beach by Andre De Dienes. Size 8x10. Excellent condition. Stamped by Kim Goodwin on back. Produced from the original negative in 2011. Last photo shows example from a book of mine how credit has been given countless times to Kim Goodwin for the use of his photos.

This is from, if not the best, then one of the very best Marilyn Monroe photo collectors of all time, Kim Goodwin. Kim was a man of many talents, he loved and had a deep appreciation for Marilyn, he actually worked for photographer, George Barris, and chose to be paid in photographs and negatives. He was extremely talented, among many talents, he was a photographic preservationist, there are many books that credit him for the use of his photos. He was a highly skilled Marilyn doll designer, some would argue perhaps the best because his dolls looked so life like and captured Marilyn’s beauty in a way no other designer could and they had a gracefulness to them that was unparalleled, and as mentioned above contributed to many books on her. He was also a sought after, highly regarded, expert stylist/artist to the stars.
