Selling my extremely rare original Marilyn Monroe photograph taken by Andre De Dienes in 1949 at Tobay beach. In wonderful condition. Gelatin silver, double weight. Size 8x10. Very rare hard to find this pose, I’ve never seen another one offered in my just over 10 years of searching, similar to a lot I have listed on here. Produced and stamped by Andre. This is from, if not the best, then one of the very best Marilyn Monroe photo collectors of all time, Kim Goodwin. Kim was a man of many talents, he loved and had a deep appreciation for Marilyn, he actually worked for photographer, George Barris, and chose to be paid in photographs and negatives. He was extremely talented, among many talents, he was a photographic preservationist, there are many books that credit him for the use of his photos. He was a highly skilled Marilyn doll designer, some would argue perhaps the best because his dolls looked so life like and captured Marilyn’s beauty in a way no other designer could and they had a gracefulness to them that was unparalleled, and as mentioned above contributed to many books on her. He was also a sought after, highly regarded, expert stylist/artist to the stars.
