Interdisciplinary trap - Should people transgress the boundaries?
The correspondence principle
requires to do so. Motl's stance has a deep meaning in AWT. Formally thinking scientists aren't often willing to learn from fuzzy connections of reality in the hope, only complex formal theories are necessary for description of reality. But the AWT demonstrates clearly, the fuzziness and interdisciplinary approach has a still deep meaning for deeper understanding of reality, because it can show us the way, by which the more exact models can be developed later. The strategic thinking requires to consider more alternatives at the single moment, then the isolated formal and poorly conditioned models can comprehend. In addition, the interdisciplinary analogies can help us to understand the complex connections easier and from more perspectives. This text was attempted to post at Motl's blog, too.
