That may indeed be a problem. But at the same time, if we have the technology to send people to Mars, then I don't think it would take an extreme effort to protect people from the dust. As you say an electrostatic filter might do it. Or how about a wet filter. A very thin film of water could catch a whole lot of dust. I'm sure that there are a lot of people out there who will immediately think of all kinds of creative ways to solve the problem.
