Over 78,000 people have already applied for Mars One Project
And they all know its a one way trip, with no return to Earth.

However the "Mars One Project" is due to land its first planetary immigrants on Mars in 2023, along with all the life support and facitities for keeping everyone alive.
Additional life supporting supplies will be dropped, at least
every two years, until the Martian Colony becomes fully self-sustaining.

If it really does happen, I expect a number countries to get in on the act, to help out.
