Rare clouds over Antarctica suggest global warming
Scientists say the appearance of rare clouds over Antarctica could be an indicator of global warming.

Good item Rusty. But global warming is more about the temperature of the oceans than the atmosphere.

that is assuming the model is correct.

da, global warming is about the globe warming, meaning the entire earth, not just the oceans. it means earth, sea, and air.

No spin doctor: It is true even if the model is incorrect.

i gave a link a while back about how some people believed that the way the model was created was erroneous. that is not spin doctoring, that is science.

oh, yea, i forgot, you said the professor could not conceive ably know what he was talking about because the organization that owned the site he posted his theory on was not your political party. totally ignored the fact that the professor did not work for them, but for a state run college.

for those who are less closed minded, he pointed out that the model was created using north hemisphere data, not whole world data. he pointed out also that they had to continually adjust the program to cover discrepancies between the model and actual data from south hemispheric.

another interesting dilemma for those doing the model is the fact that 30 years ago when people were warning of global freezing from north hemispheric data, they were getting indications of global warming in antarctica. then when the north started warming up so much the south started getting colder. there model did not show this starting to happen. proponents of the model being correct (like Morgan) said and continue to say that they just needed to adjust things to cover the lack of data from south pacific and things. yet they still claim that that data does not in any way make the model not perfect, nor does the fact that it has to be continually adjusted for discrepancies.
