He now claims to have invented a sub-micron stratum of microscopical colloid golden particles that makes an object placed behind it invisible to an observer.

Err... don't we already know that objects become "invisible" when placed behind something else?

Active fiberoptic video display cloaks are old news. If they succesfully obscure in the visible, image the scene in the UV, IR, or radar.

The problem is to get the front image to bleed through the back of the camouflage net - and have that be true in all directions. Nothing in the article says how that is accomplished or states the frame rate. A laser pinger (military gunsight) would not be fooled.
