A 'Jurrasic Park' Wollemi Pine, one of a hundred found in a secret location in Australia, ten years ago has been infected with a fungus. Thought to have been brought in by an illegal hiker.
This Wollemi Pine grove has survived for 200 million years intact.(tell that to a Creationist)
Only two have been found to be infected, additional security has been put in place.
Luckily Scientists have cloned a few thousand trees, so more of them will be sold around the world this year.
Lets hope the hundreds of new species discovered in New Guinea are also protected

I was worried there for a minute until you mentioned that scientists have cloned a few thousand trees. Let's hope the new species in New Guinea aren't destroyed by a gold-rush type examination.
