I have an idea about how robots should be given jobs.

Each job has different procedures, so a separate subroutine could be written for each procedure. Every job is like an expert system.

Each robot should be given general knowledge about the world and the way things work in it. Each robot should be given a 1 T (terabyte) hard drive and for each job, a 64 GB flash drive which contains all the information about that particular job. The robot could then go to work.

.

Or, Isaac, you could give each human a computer with all the information about the job on it (they already have 'a general knowledge about the world' -- and give the workers a job!
