This amazing cave is twice as wide and twice as tall as any cave ever found.
It has a relatively small entrance, that is situated in the Vietnamese Jungle.
Although the entrance was known by a few local Vietnamese, no body has ever ventured inside it, due to the very loud air and water noise that frightened anybody off.
Inside its height is greater than 200 meters tall. over 6.5 km long, and hundreds of feet wide. It has a raging underground river running through it, no one knows where the water comes from or where it goes to.
Amazing pictures

***Thoughts
I find it amazing as to how cave this huge, and thousands of years old, could have stood up against Earthquakes, etc?

Amazing photos Mike. Caves scare me silly and this one looks really, really terrifyingly awe-inspiring. The most amazing thing about it is that there seems to be no traditional folklore about it and it must have been there for thousands of years, as you say. The indigenous people must have had an idea it was there. It's 6.5 metres long! That's hard to ignore!

Yes as you mention, there seems to be no folklore regarding this huge cave. I suspect the small entrance and the loud air/water noise was enough to frighten all away.

I dont think there is any seismic activity in Vietnam, or in that area generally, so the cave might have been there for thousands of years. Further research will be able to show whether it has ever been inhabited in the distant past?
One other thought..... did'nt the Americans drop thousands of bombs on Vietnam, during their war?
Bombs, as well as 'agent orange',....surely if the cave was known, the Vietnamese would have used
it for shelter, and military stores?
Its a miracle the bombs missed this huge cave!

Previous posts on this subject appear lost.
But I believe 'The National Geographic Mag' have put up
some info regarding this huge Vietnamese cave.

Note this Vietnamese cave is huge, with dozens of rivers within it. Its estimated you can walk for miles along its unexplored tunnels.
But its the tunnels which have prompted Borneo to announce
that THEY have the biggest SINGLE cave in the world. The 'Sarawak Chamber' in Borneo.
You cant walk into it, since it dos'nt go anywhere. You can only Parachute or Absail down into it.
But its a single cave thats over THREE TIMES LARGER than Wembley Football Stadium!!

However, in terms of the largest volume underground, I believe the unexplored Vietnamese Cave is much bigger.
If you think thats amazing........there are a couple of Geological Scientists who believe that there are even bigger caves yet to be found.....underneath the Amazon Jungle.

I dont have the time, but if anyone can post a Sarawak URL,
or other caving updates...? You get our grateful thanks.
