The European Space Agency's Mars Express took this fab picture last February.
Now recently released, being one of the better
pictures, showing frozen ice inside a Martian Crater.

It could be 200 meters thick.

Martian life gets more probable all the time. smile

Nice find, Mike. Really nice picture. I would have expected it to be covered over with dust, but there it is in all its pristine glory. Guess the astronauts better pack some skis along, no?

Yes, j6p. To find all that ice on Mars is an unexpected but welcome bonus.
Earth Robots are roaming Mars today, and will be tomorrow.
Our present rocket technology will not allow Man to set foot upon Mars.....and return.
As approx double the amount of fuel would need to be carried, just to enable a Mars Lander carrying one man, to break free of Martian gravity and return.
frown ?
