Sweet, antique dog tag from 1947. It is a brass, heart shaped, rabies vaccine tag with a certificate number of 262196. It is a Pitman-Moore vaccination, a company which was a leader in veterinary health & pharmaceuticals since the early 1900s. A hook is still attached in the hole. A great vintage pet collectible, steampunk art or crafting supply. Fun shape that really gets your tail wagging!!Tag measures about 1\" x 1 1/8\". It is a solid tag & still legible despite some terrific, darker patina on the side edges of front. No bends, just normal wear due to age. Hook looks to be a zinc metal with patina.
