(At the time of my order) The item I had received did NOT match the sellers posting image(s). Not sure if seller corrected their image(s) now? But on the item I received, the cabinet terminals are SIDE mounted vs REAR mounted as their ad had displayed. Seller informed through contact that builder no longer offered REAR terminals. I made due with wiring issues, rather than returning the item. Also repaired (2) tears in the outer carpet wrapping. It’s a rather thin material also, to note.

Good, durable steel, needs truing/edge work out-of-box
Nice quality 1055 steel blade. Out-of-the-box grind was off-center, so I had to center it using my belt sander. Once grind centered, it sharpened very well. Holds sharpening after use clearing brush on several occasions. Great handle. Sheath is durable enough, but kind of a klunky design (would prefer the old Gurkha "bucket"-style sheath rather than an open-side sheath as provided.) Bottom line, decent value out-of-box... incredible value with a little work grind-truing and sharpening. Recommended.Nice quality 1055 steel blade. Better Design than past Cold Steel Kukris !!!
The Royal Kukri features classic design of the Gurkha army blade. Shorter in length than the "Magnum Kukri" the cutting power is INCREASED by the dramatic "curve" of more traditional Kukris. Added is a "finger guard" for hand safety. This will likely out cut EVERY MACHETE of this length, making it a compact Work Dynamo for clearing away "brush" and vines in the backyard or on Safari. The sheath has been improved over earlier models by adding a fully enclosed synthetic cap that totally covers the blade point. (safety for carry and storage) AAA+++ Older Cold Steel products may be available at lower costs - with less added positive improvements.The Royal Kukri features classic design of the Gurkha army blade. That is a knife!
If youmcannot afford the more expensive ones, this isma great option. It is bigger and the sheath is not of of heavy material but it can be stuffed into a ruck for daily heavy cutting chores.

Another excellent cold steel product.
This is an upgrade over the standard kukris machete. It has an altered blade shape that gives it a little less chopping power, but much better stabbing potential. Plus the addition of a steel handguard.
