If you are a play woclassic, original Star Trek trekkie, then this little toy is a must. It has a great feel to it, the instrument display is cool looking, and the genuine electronic sounds are nothing but a lot of fun. The only downside is that the stupid batteries died-out on me in just a matter of days. And replacements cost as must, almost, as the toy itself. So, for a few days, i had a tremendous amount of fun. Without the sounds working, i don't play with it as much.

It's really brilliant! Roughly the same size as the actual prop, and works just as well. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to purchase the actual prop due to a higher price.

Wonderfully accurate though I thought it would do more than two sounds - the swirly little display piece doesn't light up - it is just for show. Overall, very pleased with this purchase - good size, excellent quality, and a wonderful collectable. Would definitely recommend this purchase to others!

Very short battery life when not in use , looks like they do on TV...Sounds could be better, but its A conversation piece. worthy of all trekies...

It's the "Hero Quality" that should have been made in the 1970's that as 5 year old, I really wanted. vs ( the Remco exploration set original version from 76")
