This is a pre-owned item that came from a sale and looked interesting. See condition statement above as I do not know how or if it would work and don't have the skill or time to take it apart to see what it does or how it functions. You would be buying it for parts or repair. The small round reading timer does seem to work just find when wound up and it counts down. The larger metal piece is what I am not sure of so just know that. It does look to take batteries but I don't have any to test or see how this would work or not. I don't have the experience to unscrew the back and see what or how this would even work but maybe you would. If so it may be a fun thing to tinker with for you.
