Pikachu Figurine Nintendo Collaboration 1997

Stands 5 inches tall

There is a little wearing of paint on the tips of his ears. (Great condition, see photos)

The Poke Ball is supposed to have yellow specs on it

**I believe this piece to be very rare and possibly one of a kind. I have done hours of research and spoken to many Pokémon experts/enthusiasts and I'm not able to find another one like it. The 1997 makes it very old for Pokémon because the first ever Pocket Monsters Red, Green, and Blue (for Gameboy) were released in Japan in 1996. Pokémon Red and Blue became available to the United States in 1998.

The letters on the Pikachu figurine are in English and not Japanese. This Pikachu was made in collaboration with Nintendo a year before the games dropped in the USA. Leads me to believe that this little guy was a promotional piece or an early prototype with Nintendo. From my research, he's very rare and a one of kind. Be the first to own this Pikachu
