Here we have one Girl Scout Junior Sign of the Arrow. This is part of two-patch set that was available from 1963 to 1980 - Sign of the Arrow and Sign of the Star. They *were introduced to reinforce the six Foundation elements, provide for a balance of activities, and give direction in the development of troop plans. The requirements included earning several merit badges, along with other activities.
*Girl Scout Collector's GuideI have several of these available ranging from Very good to Excellent Used Condition. They either have a cheesecloth (mesh) or plastic back.

Condition is very important to collectors! 99% of the items I list are in excellent used to mint unused condition. If they are not, I will better explain their condition in the first paragraph of the listing. You might not receive the exact item pictured, but you will receive one of comparable quality.Here is a general breakdown of my condition definitions:Mint = Looks perfect, no visible flaws
Excellent = Nearly perfect. May have one or two pinholes, scratches or other minor imperfections
Very Good = Has several noticeable imperfections, but still looks nice overall.
Good/Average = Has many sewing/pin holes, stains, scratches, etc. Often still usable,but not always very "pretty"
Poor = Very obviously damaged, stained, ripped, etc. Only recommended for very high dollarand/or extremely rare items. Good "hole fillers" in collections
