Cover is at least vintage, but exact age unknown. Here is what I know about this siddur: It sat for decades in our synagougue library. I originally listed it unpolished. The, today, I polished it. You can see the original silver-plate patina on the inside edge 9see photo) . So, if you do not polish this silver-plated case, it will eventually tarnish back to that patina shown. I do not know if this siddur case orignally came with this siddur. The siddur looks much older, especially now after the polishing. There is no date on the siddur but from my research I am estimating the age at circa 1930 to 1960. If you have any information about that please message me. Thanks! As you can see , both the case and the siddur are in excellent condition. The IFCP and title page have 1/16th of an inch or so clipped. otherwise, there are no marks, no tears, no problems. I have never remioved the siddur from the case. I am grading it, therfore, as VG+/VG+. You can decide if you want to polish it further or let it re-tarnish back to its lovely natural silver-plate patina which it will be after a year or 2 of use. So, the older ones, like this one, are being repaired if needed, and distributed to congregants and the world at large. Please enjoy this book, a piece of Norwich, Connecticut Jewish history, which was originally given as tzedakah (donation) to the Shul in Honor of those who came before us.
