Really interesting story about this stone…

My husband bought this egg shaped piece probably 30+ years ago. I’m certain that long ago he must have told me this was this a “Shiva Stone”. He studied and read about all things mystical and spiritual and I had a passing interest. Sadly, he’s gone now, so I can’t ask him specifically about the origins of this piece.

Internet research uncovered some very interesting information to help understand what this is….

It started when a 14-year-old boy and his family visited me recently and he asks “what’s this?” . I tell him I think it’s a fossilized dinosaur egg, but I really don’t know. He then exclaims “it’s got a penis on it”! I have looked at this stone, I have held it, I have moved it around when I was cleaning, and I never saw that penis… But clearly there’s a penis on this fertility stone, and not only that, it appears to be ejaculating as the 14-year-old boy pointed out to me!

I then performed a Google photo search and everything pointed the fact that this is a Shiva Stone. Not only that, I believe that this is its natural shape as it rolled around in that river in India, it’s not highly polished, but it looks like it might’ve had a little polishing at sometime.

I also learned that a shic stone represents a phallus and many other things involved with all of that with the lord Shiva. It’s also been known to be a fertility stone and that’s where my interest was really peaked by seeing that this was a Shiva stone for fertility had a penis on it!! In my opinion, that makes it a really really rare shiva stone. It also confirms that my husband knew what this was when he bought it and that I didn’t listen to what he told me.

This weighs 20 pounds, it’s close to 12 inches in length and it’s gorgeous. Just a beautiful example from the Hindu religion and a perfect statement maker in your home.
