Our Comic Condition: Comics aretangible things that get touched/handled.As such, a comic can have: spine crinkle, corner blunting, cover marks,page wear, paper aging, stains, or missing digital codes* as they get older andare read. We will do our best to ‘callout’ specific condition issues that warrant extra consideration. Due tolarge variances in individual collector grade assessment we assign a subjectivegrade. We have 5 grades from NM to VG and Reader as shown in the table below.

Comic Condition Table –“+” or “-“ indicates border grade.

WHAT IT MEANS…

A comic in NM (Near Mint) condition is nearly perfect copy that looks brand new with only a few very minor defects.

A comic in VF (Very Fine) condition has minor defects, but is in overall excellent condition.

A comic in FN (Fine) condition is considered "above average" but still displays some wear.

A comic in VG (Very Good) condition shows some significant wear, but has not accumulated enough total defects to reduce eye appeal to the point that it is not a desirable copy.

GD/FR (Reader)

A comic in GD (Good) condition has major defects, but is still complete and readable.

A comic in FR (Fair) condition is the lowest grade a comic book can receive as long as the story and art are complete.

We do our best general visual assessment and group the comicinto one of the 5 above categories. With all that in mind, we have beenreading, collecting, and selling comics for many, many years. We are not inthis to make a quick buck by misleading you on condition. Our goal is for you to have a smile on yourface when you get the comic, pleased with your purchase.
