Colombianite is considered to be a sacred stone by the Muisca tribes. It is often called \"Piedra Rayo\" meaning \"Stone of Light.\" Metaphysically, it is said that the stones promote peace, understanding, compassion and love. I have read scientific articles both claiming Colombianite to be a tektite and pseudotektite.
I work directly with a local villager in Colombia importing all of my Colombianite from the miners/collectors there.PLEASE NOTE: First2 photos are backlit by LED light.
