This sale is for a rare Neanderthal notched sickle that has been created on a broad flint blade. It is elongated, slightly curved with a triangular cross section and sharp retouched lateral edges.
The proximal end has a very well made deep notched area, presumably allowing the blade to be hafted to a shaft at right angles.
It is in a superb collectable condition and still remains reasonably sharp.
