Description Louis Mideke NW Art Pottery Green Flambe Vintage Stoneware 5" Pitcher 1950-1980sThis is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Crazing. Very Nice studio art pottery pitcher by Louis Mideke. This features a green flambe glaze on a bulbous body. The ribbed hand and spout are a gun metal black with a dark brown interior. It has an unglazed base marked 'MIDEKE'.
This artist, Louis Mideke, exemplified the Northwest art traditions of simplicity, utility and innovative use of locally sourced materials. He identified as a potter but created such works of art and elegance it placed him firmly in the ceramic arts scene locally and far beyond Washington State.
This measures 5" High x 3 3/4" Wide spout to rim. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Pitcher.
