You are viewing a Longaberger Prototype Crimson Hill Basket. This Basket measures 19\"L x 10\"W x 7\"H and includes a Protector. There are 2 Leather Handles that can be placed up or down depending on your preference. The Basket features Rich Brown weaving with Bold Red and Warm Grey double upsplints. There are Merlot, Rich Brown and Deep Gold accent weaves and a reinforced woven bottom with fillers.A Prototype is the first Basket made andpresented to the Longaberger Designers to determine if that particular item iscost effective to make and sell. Some Prototypes are numbered and wereplaced in the historical area-not for sale. Other Prototypes wereaccepted and then produced for the public to purchase. Some of those werenot stamped or signed by the weaver. Such is the case with thisparticular Basket.In 2021, a sale of the historical merchandise wasconducted at The Longaberger Homestead.That is where this basket came from. This Basket is brand new and comes from my smoke-free home.
