Holocaust survivor letter from Max Elsberg – Tilff, Belgium written to Mr. Sideman dated July 24, 1946 acknowledging the great help rendered as Jewish refugees from Germany upon meeting in “A small village in the Andrennen – in the vicinity of Liege, during the Rundstedt offensive in the Spring of 1944” (history refers to as The Battle of the Bulge) … “I write …for the sole purpose of learning if you came through the war hale and hearty,…”
