DETAILS:Original tintype photographof a group of female prostitutes. Circa 1860. Note the females relaxed pose and raised elbows. At the time such poses were considered to be highly provocative. Most likely taken at a brothel for a patron who wanted amemento of his visit. Because of the prohibitive costs of photography at the time, only very wealthy patrons could afford such a luxurioussouvenir. Measures 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" inches.
