Magazine Cover signed: \"David Manners\". B/w image with colored background, 9x12. A November 12, 1932 cover of Film Pictorial magazine. Canadian-American actor David Manners (1900-1998) moved from Broadway to Hollywood in 1930, and played his most famous role the following year: as John Harker, Bela Lugosi\'s adversary in Dracula. He starred in several films over the next five years, alternating between more scary movies (The Mummy, The Black Cat) and light romantic comedies. He played Katharine Hepburn\'s fiancé in her film debut, A Bill of Divorcement (1932). Although he co-founded the Screen Actors Guild in 1933, Manners disliked Hollywood, returning to stage roles in 1936 and then pursuing a second career as a fiction and non-fiction writer. Younger actors, including Hepburn, Lucille Ball and Marlon Brando, credited his influence on their careers. Notches at right edge. Corners and edges lightly creased and worn. 1\" tear at left edge. Shipping - We ship via FedEx and USPS. Shipping charges are calculated at time of payment and are dependent on the number of items purchased and the destination shipping address. Due to the value of most purchases, a signature is required for delivery. This policy limits our ability to ship to PO Boxes. All international shipments (destinations outside the U.S) will be sent via FedEx. Please feel free to contact us in advance for shipping charges - international customers are encouraged to do so.
