You are buying a 3D printed custom designed 1/144 Launch Complex 34 Saturn 1B rocket pedestal. This 2 piece model was custom designed by me using photos and diagrams of the original pad. It was designed to support the 1/144 Saturn 1B rocket. The pedestal base measures approx. 4" square and the top approx. 4" x 4.5". When assembled it measures approx. 3" tall. The model comes unassembled and unpainted, the buyer will be responsible for removing print supports, sanding and painting as desired. Model is printed in white filament for easy painting. Please look closely at pictures and ask any questions before buying. Shown is the test model assembled and painted to show detail and the model directly from the printer (how you will receive it)..

Launch Complex 34 is where the Apollo program began. It was the site of the tragic Apollo 1 fire that took the lives of Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee. Following the redesign of the Apollo capsule the first manned Apollo mission flew from this pad. Apollo 7 launched with astronauts Walter Schirra, Walt Cunningham & Donn Eisele aboard. Today the pedestal is marked Abandon In Place as a memorial to the fallen astronauts.

I offer 3D printed models/ornaments which are printed in the spare room of my home. I am not a big business and look to offer models not offered by big box model companies. I do create custom models upon request so feel free to let me know if you are looking for something specific. Thank you.

Items over $25 will be insured however if damage occurs during the shipping process the BUYER is responsible for filing the insurance claim with THEIR post office. All 8" x 10" photos are packaged in a 9" x12" envelope, inside a plastic sleeve with 2 cardboard inserts to prevent damage. The envelope is marked front and back in black sharpie "Photo - Do Not Bend". Any additional requests in shipping such as the use of boxes will increase shipping costs.
