From a New England estate. Rare three light reverse painted Pairpoint Directoire lamp has repeating blossoming cherry orchard scene reverse painted onto drum-shaped satin glass shade. Old break in glass has been stabilized in place and the painted scene has not been restored. Brass lamp base has antiqued lacquer finish with three standard, paper covered bulb candle sockets operated by rotary 3-way base switch. Vintage working wiring. Shade rests on three pronged, cork-ended brass arms and displays perfectly on three sides. Measures 23 1/2\" H to top of brass ring, 18 1/4\"H to top of shade. Shade measures almost 14\"W at larger opening, 10\"W at top X 6 1/2\"H. Base measures 6\"W and is stamped \"Pairpont\" with the P in a diamond symbol and the model stamp D 3092.
