For sale is an Otodustooth. The Otodus was a large, pre-historicancestor to sharks like the Megalodon and the Great White Shark and is estimated to have been between 30feet – 40 feet long. This shark isbelieved to have existed during the, Eocene, Paleocene, and, Miocene eras. This tooth originates from Morocco.

These teeth measure about 2.9-3 inches long (7.5cm) long and may differ slightly fromwhat is pictured in the photos.

“Since the skeletons of sharks are composed ofbiodegradable cartilage rather than longer-lasting bone, often times the onlyfossil evidence of prehistoric species consists of teeth (sharks grow and shedthousands of teeth during their lifetimes, which is why they\'re so abundant inthe fossil record).
