This bulb appears to be very rare as I was not able to find much information on it online. The September 1980 issue of Popular Science had an article called "Energy-Saving Lighting" where it was mentioned as one of the new circularfluorescent bulbs on the market meant to replace incandescent ones for higher energy efficiency.
This is a collectable light bulb from the early 1980s. It does work (see photos), but it emitted a burning smell. Maybe it's just because it hasn't been used for decades, but I suggest only collectable use.
Diameter is about 7", a little less than 4" tall
