Selling my rare original 1956 Marilyn Monroe color photograph produced from the original negative or transparency. Here she is looking stunning in a candid glamour shot taken by photographer Earl Leaf. Marilyn hosted a press party held at her home on March 3, 1956 in Los Angeles, California. Rare full bleed color photo produced from the original negative or transparency. Size 8 x 10 in. Color gelatin silver or chromogenic. Size 8 x 10 in. Since I’m not entirely sure what year this was produced I’m offering free shipping and free returns in the US but it’s an old darkroom photograph, it’s not a cheap inkjet or laser print. Marilyn Monroe and Don Murray co-starred in Bus Stop, 1956. This was Marilyn’s first film back at Fox after walking out on her contract and a year in New York studying acting under Lee Strasberg. Reporters and critics wondered if Marilyn’s return and work with the Strasberg’s would do her any good. When the film was released, everyone was impressed and it is reported that producer Buddy Adler said, “I held out for her return because she was the only one for Bus Stop.”
