This vintage male nude beefcake photograph by photographer CHUCK RENSLOW of KRIS Studio, dates from the late 1950s or early \'60s and features handsome \"burly ex-marine\" bodybuilder DAVID SELHIME posing in the photographer\'s classic Mid-Century Modern home interior.
David Selhime
Sexy Selhime, who was rumored also to have been a police officer, modeled for Renslow, Bob Mizer, Pat Milo and Cliff Oettinger, among others.
Chuck Renslow and Kris Studio
Headed by Renslow, Kris Studio pushed the boundaries of acceptability more than any other studio from the late 1950s and early \'60s. Renslow was known for posing his models in the most revealing of posing straps, sometimes wetting them down to make them even more see-through. In court, when Renslow was brought to trial for indecency, his lawyers produced photographs of great works of art that featured male nudes, including the statuary from the entrance to the Chicago courthouse in which the trial was taking place!
Condition
Measuring just under 3¾-by-4¾-inches, this vintage photograph is beautifully printed on heavy stock and is in very good condition. The are light paper remnants on the reverse. Quality and clarity are very good.
