The maker\'s mark \"L.B\" (for \'Louis Blumfeld\') is just about visible on the silver ferrule, followed by three silver hallmarks(Anchor, Lion, letter \"h\") for Birmingham, England, 1907.Though not marked as such, the pipe was likely produced by \"BBB\" (\'Blumfeld\'s Best Briars\').
It remains in great condition overall - there is damage to the meerschaum bowl lining, so I have placed a metal gauze inside the chamber to help protect the calabash - a little damage and a few dings to the silver bowl rim - and a few light bitemarks on the stem.
There is a deep layer of carbon in the chamber.The stem fixes very securely to the shank, and air flows through the pipe freely.
