I think it will be a "nine day's wonder" after which life will slowly rock back and forth before settling back in its groove. (Rut, if you like) The world isn't going to end, the sun will still shine, there will still be hurricanes and tornadoes and tender moments. No Earth-shattering consequences. Just a few more people allowed to validate their relationships in the eyes of the world.
I for one wish the best for anyone seeking to brave the stormy, fickle seas of relationship and marriage in these turbulent, uncertain times. Having failed twice at the peculiar institution, I can honestly say I've learned two major lessons. I'm a terrible judge of men, and I like to leave my socks on the floor.
