i don't remember precisely but it should be sometime this month or next that this board turns 6 years old...
i can't quite remember but i think it was in april 98 that this board came online...

anyway, thanks to KM and all of the staff at sciagog for making it happen...and thanks to all of the denizens (local, visiting, and lurking) over the years for the contributions...valid, invalid, interesting, lame, etc (with a few notable exceptions like the penile posters that invaded a couple of times)
thanks to mike kremer, the poster with the greatest longevity here among still active posters...i signed on about two or three weeks after mike started posting here making me the second longest active poster (and grandfathering me in under the original posting guidelines :-)
and special thanks to dano for providing us with such lampoonable nonsense over the years, fine fodder for pointing out jazz (perhaps #3 among still active posters having signed on toward the end of 98)
and thanks to amaranth (probably #4 among still active posters having signed on sometime in 99) for her many fine turns of phrase...i'll reserve comment on some of the rest :-)
thanks to all for helping us to know a little more than we did of what is true...and of what is false
the good news is that someday, we all gonna know all the answers to all the important questions...
in the meantime, we can just keep on solving all the problems of the world right here at sciagog :-)
